Bachman Bops ‘Em
Once in a blue moon, you’ll find someone in the United States Congress who actually gets it. One of the few bright lights among the wimps known as Congressional Republicans, is Rep. Michelle Bachman of – believe it or not – Minnesota. If Minnesota can elect a person like Ms. Bachman, maybe there’s hope for my home state of New York. Then again – that’s probably asking too much.
Rep. Bachman showed that she actually cares about, and understands the Constitution, when she grilled the little twerp Timothy Geithner and the clueless Ben Bernanke during their testimonies before the House Banking and Finance Committee. She also showed that she has more cojones than most of her gutless male colleagues.
*For all the Obama voters: Timothy Geithner is the Treasury Secretary and Ben Bernanke is the Chairman Federal Reserve Board*
Michelle Bachman is one of the few members of congress who show some concern for the massive expansion of power that has recently been given to the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve. This power is unprecedented, and gives these entities way too much influence and potential control over the private sector economy.
Geithner, looked perplexed if not lost when Bachman asked him where the U.S. Constitution gives the Treasury Department the powers it now claims to have. His only answer was that they were given by the U.S. Congress. Bernanke looked like he was annoyed by the question, and insulted that someone would dare question his power by citing that arcane document called the Constitution of the United States.
Bachman has always been a courageous woman who doesn’t shy away from her “conservative” principles. She’s also not afraid to mix it up with male bullies in the mainstream media. Bachman is despised by left-wing groups and has been vilified by the lefty kook blogs; which just tells you how effective an advocate she is for “constitutional conservatism.”
P.S.
Isn’t it hilarious how Porky Pig aka Barney Frank throws a hissy-fit when Bachman asks for an answer to her question after her time had expired? Who the hell could understand his incoherent ramblings? With the damage that he has done to our country, Barney should be sitting on a toilet in a jail cell rather than in the Chairman’s seat of the House Banking and Finance Committee. What a disgrace!
