If Pigs Could Fly…..Now’s The Time.

It’s a bad time to be a swine! According to the Associated Press, the brainiacs who run Egypt have issued an edict to kill all of the pigs in the country. They have already begun slaughtering the estimated 300,000 pigs that call Egypt their home! This of course, is in response to the so-called “Swine Flu” that suddenly has the entire world in a tizzy.

The Egyptians either take things a bit too literally, or it’s just a way to harass the Christian minority who exclusively farm and eat the tasty mammals.

According to the AP:

“Most in the Muslim world consider pigs unclean animals and do not eat pork because of religious restrictions. One Islamic militant Web site carried comments Wednesday saying swine flu was God’s revenge against infidels.”

Unclean animals? Compared to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the average pig is Felix Unger!

God’s revenge against infidels? Do they mean the infidels who fought to free Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, and Kosovo? Do they mean the infidels who sent billions of dollars in aid to the most populous Islamic nation in the world, Indonesia, after the devastating Tsunami in 2004? The infidels that most of the Muslim world is flocking to live with in the United States, Great Britain, and most of Western Europe?

The more time goes by, the more I find myself agreeing with Ron Paul and the Libertarians regarding foreign policy. We seem to be entangling ourselves throughout the world and getting nothing but grief in return. We have yet to receive a drop of oil from Iraq, and the Taliban is getting rich from the poppy crops in Afghanistan.

If that’s the way Muslims feel; as far as I’m concerned - they can fend for themselves. I would also restrict, if not totally eliminate Muslim immigration into our country. If they hate our values, our freedom, our economic system, and our livestock, they shouldn’t want to come here in the first place – right?
