Spreading the big lie
Joseph Goebbels, the infamous Nazi and chief propagandist for Adolf Hitler once said the following:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
It seems that the chief propagandists for the Obama administration, David Axelrod and Anita Dunn seem to be students of the Goebbels philosophy. Before any liberals reading this go into a conniption fit, let me remind you that the above mentioned Anita Dunn, who serves as the White House Communications Director, said that Mao Zedong was one of her favorite “philosophers.” For all of you ignorant first-time voters who cast their ballots for Obama; Mao Zedong was the first Chairman of the Communist Party of China. He was a brutal dictator who was responsible for killing more people than Adolf Hitler.
Axelrod and Dunn have been making the rounds attacking the Fox News Channel by propagating the big lie that Fox News is biased, not really a news station, and that it has a “point of view.” The sleazy Axelrod was on This Week with George Stephanopoulos pitching propaganda for his master, Barack Obama.
Here’s what the slime ball had to say:
Of course, the fair and balanced George Stephanopoulos, who served as the Communications Director for Bill Clinton, didn’t challenge the asinine statements made by Axelrod. If Georgie Boy was a real journalist, he might have asked Axelrod if he thought MSNBC and CNN were also pushing a point of view. Instead, Axelrod’s propaganda went unchallenged – as usual. He should have been asked if the putrid Keith Olbermann had a point of view! He should have also been asked if the slimy Chris Matthews had a point of view! You know; the same Chris Matthews who bragged that listening to Obama gave him “a thrill running up his leg.” The same Chris Matthews who said that it was his job to make the Obama presidency a success!
The real reason that the Obama propagandists are attacking Fox News Channel is because they fear it. No, they don’t fear the Conservatives, Republicans, and Libertarians who watch Fox; they already know that they aren’t going to support Obama’s Marxist policies. They are afraid of the other Fox viewers that Obama desperately needs to succeed.
According to an article by Dick Morris, a poll conducted by the Global Marketing Research Center showed that:
46% of those who watch Fox News “just about every day” are Democrats or Independents as are 50% of those who watch it “several times each week” or more.
You see, the reason Axelrod, Dunn, and Obama are so concerned about Fox News is because they are frightened by the prospect of Democrats and Independents hearing the truth from the news division and hearing dissenting points of view from the commentators. In other words, the Obama administration wants to control the message that Americans hear by controlling the media.
Remember what Goebbels said about preserving the big lie. “It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to supress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie.”
