NYC Mayor’s race: The dangerous also-rans

Tomorrow (Nov. 3rd) New Yorkers will be going to the polls to elect their next mayor. Realistically, this is a two man race between Bill Thompson (D) and Michael Bloomberg (I). The benevolent billionaire statist Michael Bloomberg has a double-digit lead in the polls and his re-election should be a cake-walk. Besides Thompson and Bloomberg, there are 6 other people on the ballot for mayor – eight in total.

The other candidates for NYC mayor are running under the following lines: Conservative, Green Party, Independence, Libertarian, Rent is too damn high (RTH), Socialist Workers, and Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL). Recently, along with the 300 pieces of mail from the environmentalist Michael Bloomberg, I received a 2009 General Election Voter Guide from the NYC Campaign Finance Board. This publication lists all of the candidates on the ballot for the various elected offices of the city of New York. I usually don’t look at this publication, but this time I decided to flip through it. What I found was pretty damn scary!

One of the eight people running for mayor is a 26 year old “student” by the name of Francisca Villar. Ms. Villar is running under the (PSL) Party for Socialism and Liberation line. I understand that this woman has as much chance of being elected mayor as I have of pinch-hitting a homer in tonight’s World Series, but her views speak volumes about the Obamination of this country.

Below is the experience and platform of this Marxist dictator in-training taken word for word from the voters guide.

QUESTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATE:

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE IN THE CITY YOU WOULD ADDRESS IF ELECTED?

The billionaires must pay for the economic crisis. A 5 percent tax on all wealth over $100 million would alone raise over $8 billion a year from the city’s 55 billionaires alone; if they try to leave the city, their property and wealth should be confiscated. The $5 billion that the city pays every year to the banks for “debt servicing” must go to people’s needs.

WHAT OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES WOULD YOU ADDRESS IF ELECTED?

The NYPD top cops must face charges for the epidemic of racist police brutality.

Housing is a right; rents must be rolled back and New York City should be declared an eviction-free zone with no foreclosures or evictions. The Rent Guidelines Board must be elected by New York City residents, not appointed by the mayor.

CUNY should be free as it once was.

Every New Yorker should be guaranteed a union job with decent wages and benefits.

WHAT MAKES YOU THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR THIS OFFICE?

I am not a millionaire and I have never been a bank executive. I am the only candidate who has grown up poor in New York City. My candidacy is dedicated to building a movement of poor and working people to put our interests first – the movement we need for the society we deserve.

I marched with 1 million of my fellow immigrants on May Day 2006 to demand amnesty for all undocumented workers. I organized to demand an end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and of the occupation of Palestine.

I was an organizer trying to push back the 2008 tuition increases at CUNY. I am a fighter for the interests of poor and working people.

This wanna-be tyrant would be pretty funny if she weren’t so ignorant and dangerous. Some people would say that she’s just an idealistic young person who’ll eventually wise-up and join the rest of us in reality. I don’t take it so lightly! I believe that this is an alarming trend among many young people; especially in the “minority” community. These people are being brainwashed and indoctrinated by the public education system and institutions of “higher learning.”

Ask yourself how many of her views are shared by our president, Barack Hussein Obama. The only difference is that he’s too smart to publicly admit it. This woman is a product of the age of Obama; the age of an impending Marxist revolution in the United States of America. I do believe that we can hold off this “revolution” – at least in the short term. However, what will happen when the current population of free-thinking rational adults starts to die off?

What will happen when the high school and college students of today become the political leaders of tomorrow?

How do we stop the systematic indoctrination of an entire generation of young people?

Is a Socialist/Marxist America inevitable?

How long can we hold back this ever-rising tide?

It’s not enough anymore to defeat Marxism at the voting booth. We have to do something to stop our destructive education system and entrenched bureaucracies from destroying our capitalist system and western culture by using our young people as pawns for their radical agenda. We have to hold our corrupt media accountable for their lies and distortions. We have to fight harder than ever before in order to keep our precious freedoms granted us by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I’m ready for the fight!

How about you?
