John Edwards admits to fathering baby – finds new work

Notice that John Edwards the once top Democrat contender for president has been missing from the public spotlight. In a way it’s not surprising due to the fact that Edwards has basically imploded since the 2008 Democrat primaries.

First he was busted with his mistress Rielle Hunter, and then came the story that he fathered a baby with the woman. Today Edwards finally fessed up and admitted that the baby is his. He said: “I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves.” The child’s name is Frances Quinn Hunter. The little girl and future trust-fund millionaire will be two years old on February 27th.

Now the blockbuster book Game Change has made his life even more miserable. The book portrays John and his wife Elizabeth as the two-bit phonies that they are. It also exposes the fake lovey-dovey relationship between the two power hungry attorneys.

There’s no doubt that it’s been kind of rough lately for John Edwards and family. Edwards was once one of the highest paid slip and fall trail lawyers in the country. Today he’s probably hiding out in the basement of his 28,200 square foot home in North Carolina. Fortunately for Edwards, the home is said to be the largest home in the country, so he has dozens of spare bedrooms to sleep in.

Anyway, for the past couple of years the Edwards family hasn’t been able to make the income they’re accustomed to. After the mistress, the baby, and the book, the high paid speaking engagements are a distant memory.

Luckily, Edwards recently found some work in the advertising industry. It’s not the same as suing doctors and tobacco companies, but it will probably come in handy now that he has another mouth to feed.

Here’s Edwards in his new career as a TV pitchman. The woman who plays his wife almost seems to resemble a younger and thinner version of his real wife Elizabeth.

We here at Gotham Resistance wish John Edwards well in his new career. We feel that the huge gap that was created when the great Billy Mays passed away has yet to be filled. Maybe, just maybe, John Edwards may be the guy to fill it.
