Meghan McCain – a practitioner of ageism?
This past Monday, Meghan McCain appeared as a guest host on the View in place of Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck is a pretty feeble conservative, but compared to Meghan McCain, she’s the second coming of Ronald Reagan.
The View gals were ‘discussing’ the recent Tea Party convention held in Nashville, Tennessee with their usual depth and intelligence. Not wanting to be left out, Meghan McCain joined the rest of the geniuses in blasting the Tea Party and Sarah Palin.
That, in and of itself, was no surprise, but McCain managed to really put her foot in her dumb mouth. While in the process of trashing former Congressman and Republican presidential wanna-be, Tom Tancredo, who was a speaker at the convention, she said the following:
“I’m sorry, but revolutions start with young people, not with 65-year-old people talking about literacy tests and people who can’t say the word ‘vote’ in English.”
It’s one thing if she wants to criticize Tancredo, but to bring up age is just plain stupid!
After all, wasn’t her father, John McCain, 72 years old when he ran his pathetic campaign against Barack Obama in 2008? If McCain could have somehow pulled off a miracle and won the presidency, wouldn’t he have been the oldest elected US president in our history?
Not only is Meghan McCain a complete phony and an opportunist, but she’s also a dimwitted hypocrite!
