Government intimidation of wayward corporations

Several of the companies who have made public comments over the past week regarding the negative financial impact that Obamacare will have on them have been called to the principle’s office to explain their misbehavior to the congressional Democrats.

How dare these evil and greedy corporations speak out and express their concerns. How dare they attempt to explain the consequences of Obamacare to their employees, stockholders, and to the general public who will ultimately bare the brunt of these outrageous costs via price increases.

How dare they!

The CEO’s of Verizon, AT&T, Caterpillar, and Deere & Co. were called to testify before the Imperial Congress of the United States of Obama on April 21st. They were ordered to bring along all incriminating proof of their misdeeds – E-mails, memos, financial reports, their medical records, and high school yearbook pictures.

This is all part of the damage control that Obama and the Democrats are doing since they rammed the disastrous healthcare reform bill down America’s throat. It’s also about intimidating those who don’t quietly go along with the program. There’s no doubt that pompous Democrat congressmen will try to bully the CEO’s while portraying them as greedy capitalist pigs that care more about their bottom lines than they do about fairness and the health of their employees.

Why are these CEO’s agreeing to this? Why don’t they take a stand and tell congress to go to hell? Why don’t they tell congress that they also have first amendment rights?

The sad fact is that these CEO’s and most others are intimidated by the Obama administration and the congressional Democrats. Sadly, this is what this country has come to in a little over a year since King Obama ascended to the throne. Government is now either in control of industry, in cahoots with industry, or at war with industry.

Kind of sounds a bit like fascism – doesn’t it?

If I were an employee of one of these companies (Verizon, AT&T, Caterpillar, Deere) and was being laid off, I would be furious if any Obama supporter kept his or her job. In a fictional world where justice and karma rule, the ignoramuses who voted for Obama would be the first to get a pink slip. They would have to live with the consequences of their decisions.

Unfortunately in the real world, good, smart, honest, hardworking people usually have to pay the price for the actions of the bad, stupid, dishonest, and lazy.
