Shut up and just play basketball!
I rarely talk about NBA basketball because it’s just a tremendous waste of time and energy to discuss this corrupt sports league full of immature ne’er-do-wells. At least professional wrestling has long since come out and admitted that the matches are predetermined and that the whole thing is just “sports entertainment.”
But………………
It has been reported that the Phoenix Suns will don a special uniform for their playoff game later tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. The front of the uniform will have “Los Suns” embroidered atop the player’s number. Tomorrow happens to be May the 5th, which is a big holiday in Mexico – Cinco de Mayo. According to the Suns, this will be done to “honor the Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation.”
Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver is a vocal opponent of the new Arizona illegal immigration law – SB1070. I guess it’s kind of hard to find Americans who are willing to sweep and clean the US Airways Center after the games; just another example of the jobs Americans won’t do!
Not only is Robert Sarver speaking out against SB1070, but team captain Steve Nash also decided to publicly state his opposition to the new law. Nash, who happens to be a Canadian citizen via South Africa, said the following: “I think the law is very misguided. I think it’s unfortunately, to the detriment of our society and our civil liberties. I think it’s very important for us to stand up for things we believe in. As a team and as an organization, we have a lot of love and support for all of our fans. The league is very multicultural. We have players from all over the world, and our Latino community here is very strong and important to us.”
I have a bit of advice for Steve Nash. Shut the hell up and just play basketball you ingrate!! You may be “smart” on the basketball court, but in the real world you’re just a pathetic idiot! The citizens of Arizona don’t want or need wealthy Canadian carpetbaggers telling them what’s good for them. Mr. Nash, why don’t you urge your Canadian government to invite the 460,000 or so illegal aliens in Arizona to come up to Canada to live and work? Luckily for Canada, they have a huge buffer called the United States in between them and Mexico.
Nash is just the latest example of dimwitted celebrities opening their big mouths when they should just keep them the hell shut. Nash plays 41 games a year (plus playoffs) in Arizona and collects more than 12 million per season in salary. For him to lecture the lifelong citizens of Arizona who have to pay for these illegal invaders, not only through their taxes, but with their lives, is the height of arrogance and chutzpah!
I usually don’t give a crap who wins what NBA playoff series, but I’m now rooting for the Spurs to knock the Suns out and send Steve Nash back to his morally superior country. I also hope that the true patriots and intelligent people of Arizona will boycott future Phoenix Suns basketball games and all of their merchandise. Let the illegal “Latinos” support them – let them pay for Steve Nash’s salary!

Re: Los Suns Support Illegal Immigration
Just curious, but did Los Suns have to show their `papers` (passports) when they traveled to mexico for basketball game in monterrey last October?
Well said. I was a huge Suns fan until Nash opened his mouth and spewed ignorance and his support of illegaql immigrants. What a slap in the face to the citizens of AZ who strongly support the bill because they have to suffer daily as a result of unbridled illegal immigration. This law in no way discriminates against the “Hispanic community”, but does discriminate against people who break this country’s basic laws by coming here illegally. Nash shows how out of touch he is with people of Arizona who pay his salary and who workr work rather than play for a living. He is out of touch with those citizens who must live amongst the kidnappers and drug cartels that are rampant in Phoenix as a result of illegal immigration. I hope Los SOB’s go down and go down quickly in the playoffs now.
Right on Harry.
Wasn’t it nice when you didn’t know the political affiliations of professional athletes? Even Michael Jordan (of who I’m not a big fan of) was once quoted as saying “Republicans buy shoes too” when asked by a friend why he doesn’t endorse political figures. Jordan is a shithead, (in my opinion) but he at least understood basic business and marketing. The new era of clowns (Nash, etc.) don’t seem to understand where the money they make comes from. I’m not saying that athletes aren’t allowed to have political opinions, but once they spout them, they should accept the potential consequences that come along with doing so. I can easily envision a scenario where if the Phoenix Suns ticket sales and merchandise take a hit, the owner and Mr. Nash will be making statements about how their comments were “misunderstood.” The problem is that the silent majority forgets to quickly. In this day and age, we can’t afford to forget any longer.
How did attacking Illegal Immigration become an Attack on Americans? Oh thats right because these “Americans” as Nancy Pelosi put it, don’t want to be Americans. They want to be Mexicans.
