Surprise, Surprise, The Dalai Lama is a Marxist
The Dalai Lama (Excuse me, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama) is in New York City for a series of events being held at Radio City Music Hall. Yesterday his holiness, The Lama, came right out and admitted that he’s a Marxist. I really wasn’t that surprised. After all, with such a heavy following from Hollywood stars such as Richard Gere, I just assumed that he was a Marxist.
According to the Dalai Lama, Marxism has “moral ethics” while capitalism is solely about “how to make profits.”
Perhaps The Lama is too busy meditating, but he seems to be glossing over a very important historical point about Marxism. The point being that Marxism has always been administered via the end of a gun barrel! This omission regarding the antithetical nature between freedom and Marxism is a bit strange coming from a man who actively advocates the freedom and independence of Tibet from the Red Chinese. Oh well, no one ever said that intelligence is a prerequisite for becoming the Dalai Lama.
Hmmmm…Marxism has moral ethics eh?
Is it morally ethical for a political philosophy to stifle individualism and the creativity, talent, and freedom that go along with it? Is it morally ethical to prevent people from practicing their faith? Is it morally ethical to confiscate private property and wealth from one group of people in order to benefit another group? Is it morally ethical to spread this philosophy through forceful annexation of sovereign nations? And finally, is it morally ethical to force dissenters into reeducation camps, work camps, and prison?
Yeah, I know, the philosophy of Marxism is good, it is man that is imperfect. If only Marxism were administered the proper way everyone would love it; the world would be filled with equality, justice, and peace – a beautiful utopia!
Rather than being the “deep thinker” that he’s portrayed to be, the Dalai Lama has proved that his thinking and reasoning is just as shallow as the Hollywood dimwits that idolize him.
