Obama punks out on ground zero mosque – what else is new?
Barack Hussein Obama, our ever omnipresent president, joined forces with other moral cowards, America haters, and pathetic ignoramuses over the ground zero mosque issue. This past Friday, Obama enthusiastically and forcefully threw his support behind the disgusting plan when he spoke at a White House dinner to mark the beginning of the Ramadan fast.
As usual, Obama seemed to take pleasure in lecturing all us small people when he said the following:
In his arrogance, Obama actually thought he could get away with framing the issue as one of religious freedom and constitutional rights. He thought he could get away with using the same smokescreen as Feisal Abdul Rauf, Michael Bloomberg, and most of the Dhimmi-crat Party. Sorry Mr. President – we’re not that stupid! We all understand that Feisal Abdul Rauf and his cohorts have the legal right to build their mosque – that’s never been the issue!
Legally, all private property owners in America have the right to hang banners from their homes saying that Muslims are pigs. Americans also have the right to walk around wearing t-shirts stating their hate for certain racial or ethnic groups. However, the overwhelming majority of decent and reasonable people would agree that doing these things is not a good idea on so many different levels. Very few people would defend these kinds of actions regardless of whether or not someone has the legal right to do so. Neo-Nazi groups have the constitutional right to rally and assemble, but they’re always condemned when they do!
So please Mr. Obama, Mr. Bloomberg, and all the rest of you apologists for Islam, stop with the phony religious freedom and constitutional rights smokescreen already!
After the White House realized that most Americans aren’t fools, they attempted to backtrack a bit on Saturday. When questioned by reporters about his stance on the mosque issue, our exalted mystic ruler came up with this line:
My question to the President is: why not comment on the “wisdom” of putting the mosque there? Mr. Obama never seems shy about telling us exactly how he feels about most other issues. For instance, he has commented ad nauseam about the “wisdom” of destroying the best health care system in the world and replacing it with a socialistic European model. He has also questioned the “wisdom” as well as the motives of the millions of Americans who disagree with his health care plan. All of a sudden he doesn’t want to comment on the “wisdom” of doing or not doing something that is just as controversial and a lot more offensive to many Americans? Give me a break!
Mr. President: what could possibly be wrong with using your so-called bully pulpit to kindly ask the mosque developers not to build on that site? What’s wrong with using your supposed superhuman oratory skills (aka teleprompter reading skills) to make an emotional plea to their sense of decency by laying out the many reasons why the mosque plan is so abhorrent to so many Americans?
Is Obama unwilling to ask this of the “Muslim Community” because he’s 100% down with their agenda, or is he afraid that they’ll make him look bad by throwing his plea back in his face? From what we know about Barack Obama, both reasons are equally as valid.
Maybe I’m making the mistake of assuming that there’s a really small part of Obama that actually shares some common values with the rest of us. I guess I need to resign myself to the fact that in Obama’s twisted world Republicans/Conservatives are more bigoted, exclusionary, and violent than Islam. Sarah Palin is less concerned about the U. S. Constitution and less patriotic than Feisal Abdul Rauf. And, America is a far worse influence on the world than Islam is.
