Illegal immigrants love New York
For those of you lucky enough to live in NYC- harrumph… and further lucky enough to be hooked up to Time Warner Cable – harrumph… know how lucky you are to be able to watch NY1 news-double harrumph!
For those who aren’t quite so lucky, let me describe NY1 as succinctly as I possibly can. NY1 makes NBC, CBS, and ABC seem like right-wing broadcast stations. I like to refer to them as NY Pravda.
This station, which is actually part of Time Warner, will have you sobbing with their heartwarming stories about poor illegal, or should I say undocumented immigrants. Below is a typical story that NY1 loves to run. It’s about “undocumented” students making t-shits and going to Albany to lobby state legislators for more money and more special privileges.
NY1’s website recaps the story this way:
About a hundred students are heading up to the state capital today to advocate for the DREAM Act. The students, along with advocacy group Make the Road New York, spent the day Monday making T-shirts, food packages and legislative packets. They group will meet with Albany legislators to push for the New York DREAM Act and DREAM Fund. The bill would extend financial aid and other educational services to undocumented students. Those students would also be able to apply for state IDs and drivers licenses.
See the shortened video of Monday’s original broadcast here.
In the original airing of the story on Monday, they spoke to a couple of the undocumented students, even displaying their names at the bottom of the screen. They should have also used subtitles, but let me not go there for the moment. These interviews not only left me in a state of disgust, but also in a state of confusion. You see, for the past decade or so I’ve been hearing how desperately we need “comprehensive immigration reform” (aka amnesty) so that all the undocumented (aka illegal) immigrants can come out and stop “living in the shadows.”
Living in the shadows, my tuckus!
Not only are illegal immigrants not living in the shadows, they are living up in everyone’s face and are often demanding and arrogant. This is especially true in the so-called sanctuary cities, of which NYC is the champion of champions.
The majority of NYC public schools are comprised of Spanish speaking students that are either illegal, or are anchor babies. Note: I see little to no distinction between the two. One can only imagine how much money NYC spends on these students that should not really be here – money that comes out of the pockets of the ever dwindling producers who are here legally.
I have long wondered how so many “immigrants” that can barely speak English can afford to live in what is arguably the most expensive city in the nation. And not only do these “immigrants” manage to set up home here, but they also manage to support 3, 4, and 5 children.
Sorry, but yes, I do take notice of who has all the babies. That’s more than I can say for the robotic brainwashed liberal yuppies that walk around this city like zombies staring at their smartphones and listening to their iPods while reality passes unnoticed under their upturned noses.
These “immigrants” seem to be the only ones that can somehow afford to have all these children living in New York City. Gee, I wonder how they pull this off. And all on the salaries of laborers, Chinese food and pizza delivery people, busboys, and dishwashers. Damn… I sure wish I knew their secrets to stretching a dollar!
Oh well, such is life in the best sanctuary city that American has to offer.
