So here it goes………

Being almost obsessively observant, I can’t help but notice how people dress in 2009 America. Here in New York, it’s sometimes hard to draw the line between fashion, bad taste, and plain stupidity!

Something that I’ve noticed over the past couple of years, is the growing number of male yuppies who are wearing “high-waters.” You know, when the pant legs are far too short and a significant portion of the socks are showing. I don’t know whether it’s just another fashion trend, or if it’s based on the morning weather report.

These guys wearing the “high-waters” aren’t just your vintage-clothing wearing misfit bohemians, but guys who look like they work on Wall Street! I can’t tell you how often I see a Yuppie wearing a Brooks Bros. pinstripe suit, a Versace tie, and pant legs that are so high that you can easily see the patterns on their socks. It’s even worse when they decide to wear bight colored socks that accentuate the “high-waters” even more!

What is it with these guys? Doesn’t anyone tease them about being ready for the big flood? Don’t some of them have wives or girlfriends, and if they do, why do these girls let them out of the house dressed like that?

I guess that some things just aren’t meant to be understood, so we may as well laugh at them!
