Ms. Taylor has been eulogized not only as a classic Hollywood actress, but also as a tireless activist against AIDS. In fact, her AIDS activism has been the focal point of the media coverage. But then again, she hasn’t done any acting in the past thirty years or so. We have also been incessantly reminded that Ms. Taylor was a loyal friend and supporter of the late Michael Jackson.

Does Ms. Taylor’s passing warrant the kind of media attention and adoration she is receiving? Maybe – I guess. But it’s very revealing when you compare the news of her passing with let’s say…Charlton Heston’s in 2008.

Let’s see; Charlton Heston was actually a busier actor than Ms. Taylor; appearing in more movies and television performances. Heston was also elected President of the Screen Actors Guild six times, and was also the first Chairman and President of the American Film Institute. Heston won one Academy Award for Best Actor in his 1959 role in Ben Hur. Elizabeth Taylor won two; one for Best Actress in her 1960 role in Butterfield 8, and another for Best Actress in her 1966 role in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

All things considered, it would be more than fair to say that Heston and Taylor were both iconic figures in their field. They were also both considered “activists.” But here’s the problem. Charlton Heston’s activism was in the defense of the dreaded Second Amendment, while Elizabeth Taylor’s was AIDS awareness. Heston sealed his fate with the media and the Hollywood establishment by becoming President of the NRA in 1998; a position he held until his retirement and announcement that he had Alzheimer’s in 2003. It’s also notable that Heston was married to the same woman for 64 years while Elizabeth Taylor was married 8 times and had several flings with married men.

All in all, it’s not really a surprise that Ms. Taylor’s passing has received such overwhelming coverage while Heston’s passing was barely mentioned. In the upside down left-wing worlds of Hollywood and journalism, Taylor was a heroine, and Heston was a villain – an extremest.

I can clearly remember when the news broke that Charlton Heston was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease because a left-wing kook who I worked with at the time openly expressed how happy he was to hear the news, saying he hoped Heston would suffer a long and painful death.  That about says it all!

The movie was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

That’s right, Last Crusade! I guess that 1989 is further gone than many of us care to admit. Can anyone even imagine a movie with that title being released by the major studios today? Not to mention that in the movie Indiana Jones went into Muslim countries and killed Muslims during his search for the Holy Grail of the Christian faith. Also, the main villain in the movie, a Nazi, was assisted by Muslims during his evil quest to find the Grail before Indiana Jones does. Hmmm…Muslims and Nazis working together; even fictional films contain grains of truth within them.

How dare Director Steven Spielberg and Producer/Co-writer George Lucas be involved in such a racist Islamophopic movie; a movie that made almost 475 million at the box office. Being the great tolerant liberals that they are, Spielberg and Lucas should use their enormous Hollywood clout to at least change the title of this movie. After all, how does the title sound to all of the poor oppressed Muslims of America? How does it make them feel? As far as we know, the movie may trigger a terrorist attack if a disaffected Muslim youth were to stumble across it!

In the interest of tolerance, diversity, and public safety, why not ban the movie entirely?

We all remember that colossal embarrassment named Rosie O’Donnell claiming that September 11^th 2001 was the first time in history that fire melted steel. We all remember Sean Penn opening his big mouth and making a total buffoon of himself time and time again.

This week another monumental Hollywood imbecile by the name of Danny Glover spewed his verbal diarrhea in regards to the earthquake in Haiti. Glover who may well be even dumber than Sean Penn blamed the earthquake on……Global Warming. He linked our failure to get anything accomplished during the Copenhagen Climate Conference in early December of 2009 to the earthquake in Haiti. Wow those Global Warming Gods sure are vindictive and they sure work quickly. If we (United States) would have only surrendered our sovereignty at Copenhagen a month ago, the people of Haiti would have been spared.

I love the incoherent line about the United States “extracting even more from the pain of the Haitian people.” What the hell does that mean? I think it’s a case of Glover’s brain being too slow for his mouth. I bet he wanted to say extract natural resources, but then quickly realized that Haiti doesn’t have any. An often used talking point of the far-left is that the U.S. exploits the third world for their “natural resources.” Hardy-Har-Har! That’s like saying that Donald Trump makes his money by stealing from the homeless.

I often wonder what idiots like Glover would be doing if it weren’t for Hollywood. This jackass would be hard pressed to make a living in the real world. Unfortunately, Hollywood gives them the opportunity to ignorantly spout off on subjects that they know nothing about, yet still be taken seriously by a segment of our society and the media.

Since Mr. Glover is supposedly an actor, I suggest that once in a while he use those acting skills to act as if he had a brain.
