Shortly after, an aide to NYC mayor/king Michael Bloomberg responded with two of her own tweets. The aide is a woman by the name of Andres Batista-Schlesinger. This woman seems to be just as pompous and ignorant as her liberal elitist boss. Before joining the Bloomberg administration regime, Schlesinger worked for the liberal think-tank, Drum Major Institute. Whoa…what a surprise!

In response to Palin’s tweets, Batista-Schlesinger tweeted the following:

I would like to ask Ms. Batista-Schlesinger who the hell appointed her to speak for New Yorkers. You don’t speak for me, Ms. Schlesinger! You don’t speak for the majority of New Yorkers who oppose this evil mega-mosque plan! Furthermore, how dare you imply that people who are opposed to this sick plan are racist! Is this the only way you leftists know how to debate? You are just another self-loathing liberal elitist who’s tall on arrogance and short on brains – you’re disgusting! As a New Yorker, I’m outraged that my tax dollars go to pay your salary.

While Ms. Batista-Schlesinger is telling Sarah Palin to mind her own business, I’d like to take this opportunity to tell her boss, Michael Bloomberg, to do the same.

Hey Bloomberg; stop telling New Yorkers what to eat and drink! Stop telling restaurants how they should cook their food! Stop telling people how to run their lives! Stop sticking your nose in the business of other states in regards to their gun laws! Why don’t you try taking the advice that your aide gave Mrs. Palin, and Mind Your Own Business for a change!

If Ms. Batista-Schlesinger had an ounce of integrity, she would do everyone a favor and resign her taxpayer funded post. I won’t hold my breath!

I BODLY PREDICT THAT OBAMA WILL ATTEMPT TO TAKE CREDIT FOR FINALLY CAPPING THE BP OIL WELL AFTER 86 DAYS!

Seriously, how long will it take before Obama’s sycophants and lackeys in the media start spinning about the great success with which Obama handled the crisis. Morons like Kirsten Powers will come on Fox News and tell us with a straight face that without Obama’s leadership the crisis would have been much worse. They’ll most likely bring up George Bush’s response to Katrina and proclaim that Obama did a far better job in managing a catastrophe. In comparing Katrina with the BP fiasco, they’ll point out that the BP situation was far more challenging than Katrina.

After BP received all of the criticism for the spill, they’ll get absolutely no credit whatsoever for fixing it. Instead, Obama will probably go on TV and pat himself on the back for the leadership that he provided in finally capping the well. He’ll also take that opportunity to once again push for his outrageous Cap & Trade legislation. He’ll try to convince the dummies of America that initiating Cap & Trade will prevent further environmental accidents.

If only the rest of life were as predictable as this bunch in the White House and Media, I’d be 10 times wealthier than Bill Gates and Warren Buffet combined. Unfortunately, the only thing that I’m really good at predicting is the behavior of morons and radical left-wing liberals.

In the article, Sowell uses the BP oil spill fiasco to highlight the abuse of power coming from this pathetic administration in regards to “punishing” the private sector.

Sowell writes:

“With vastly expanded powers of government available at the discretion of politicians and bureaucrats, private individuals and organizations can be forced into accepting the imposition of powers that were never granted to the government by the Constitution.”

He also aptly points out that “without constitutional government, freedom cannot endure. There will always be a “crisis” — which, as the president’s chief of staff has said, cannot be allowed to “go to waste” as an opportunity to expand the government’s power.”

On a previous post titled Obama’s BP speech: a crisis is a terrible thing to waste, I put forth my belief that the BP oil spill plays right into Obama’s hands. Sowell also pointed out something that I often highlight on this blog; ignorance and apathy embolden and empower tyrannical rule.

Sowell writes:

“When Adolf Hitler was building up the Nazi movement in the 1920s, leading up to his taking power in the 1930s, he deliberately sought to activate people who did not normally pay much attention to politics.”

“Such people were a valuable addition to his political base, since they were particularly susceptible to Hitler’s rhetoric and had far less basis for questioning his assumptions or his conclusions.”

Unfortunately, this sounds like many of today’s Democrat Party faithful. It also sounds like most of the young people who attend the nation’s colleges and universities. I have long worried that these ignorant (some are willfully ignorant) sheep will ultimately be the downfall of Western Civilization.

Evidently Thomas Sowell agrees with me. In his usual straight to the point style, he points out that “a democracy needs informed citizens if it is to thrive, or ultimately even survive.”

Amen!

In reality, I think that Obama knows exactly what he’s doing. When this oil spill began 57 days ago I immediately thought that he was secretly cheering this disaster. I knew that he would use this incident to bash big oil, ban offshore drilling, and to concoct radical environmental and energy policies. After all, both his Chief of Staff (Rahm Emanuel) and his Secretary of State (Hillary Clinton) are on the record in their belief that “a crisis is a terrible thing to waste.”

There was nothing new about Obama’s address other than that he actually stayed in the White House for once and saved the taxpayers a million bucks or so. Otherwise, Obama did what he does best. He blamed everyone but himself, he made threats, and he held himself up as morally superior to everyone and anyone. He also used this opportunity to propose radical energy and environmental initiatives.

I really don’t know what the Administration could have done to help stop this oil leak, but I truly believe that if Obama had a secret weapon that would plug the leak he wouldn’t use it until it politically suited him. To radicals like him the ends always justify the means. If it takes a couple of billion gallons of oil in the Gulf of Mexico destroying millions of small businesses to finally put an end to oil drilling once and for all, so be it!

Obama clearly sees the writing on the wall. He knows what will happen to his congressional majorities this November, and he probably also knows that his chances of reelection in 2012 are not much higher than the chance of Joran Vander Sloot winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I believe that he’ll try to ram through as much radical legislation as he can while he still can. He would love to leave us with economic crushing energy legislation and some sort of Cap & Trade, or carbon tax.

Seeing this disgraceful president speaking from the Oval Office tonight reminded me for the 18,653^rd time of the colossal blunder that the people of this country made in November of 2008. It also reminded me of the pathetically irresponsible mainstream media and their unholy alliance with this president and his radicalism. It’s not enough that we take back the congress and the White House in 2010 and 2012; we have to be ever vigilant that this type of person never gets to be in this position of power ever again.

The angry mob surrounded Baer’s house and even congregated on his front porch and right outside of his door. These pathetic followers were organized by the Chicago based grassroots organization National People’s Action in coordination with SEIU. Hmmm…sounds a lot like the supposedly defunct Acorn.

Is this America? Union thugs and community organizers intimidate private citizen on his private property!

The pathetic sheep who trespassed on Gregory Baer’s property were protesting Bank of America’s lobbying effort to stop Obama’s “financial reform” bill. The fact is that most of these dummies can’t even spell financial reform. They are just useful idiots and tools for the Obama administration’s Marxist agenda.

This type of mob intimidation of private citizens is right up Obama’s alley. He has already been caught on tape urging supporters to “argue with their neighbors and get in their face.”

He also once told a group of bankers he was meeting with that “my administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.” Kind of sounds like La Cosa Nostra shaking down a business for protection money – doesn’t it?

When the police were called by the Baer family, they were told that they didn’t want to arrest any of the trespassers for fear of “inciting them.” This police department should be ashamed of themselves giving in to a mob harassing a private citizen on his private property! Are there still idiots out there who believe that citizens shouldn’t be able to arm themselves? In fact, this disgusting situation only highlights why a ban on “assault rifles” is a horrible and dangerous idea. When you’re surrounded by a large angry mob on your own property a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver isn’t going to do the trick!

Whenever this president gets into trouble, or whenever he just wants to punish, intimidate, or silence someone, he just calls on his loyal soldiers at the SEIU and their community organizing affiliates. I guarantee you that we will only be seeing more and more of this as his popularity and prospects for reelection continue to fall. This is what he does! This is what Saul Alinsky calls for in Rules for Radicals! This is what every two-bit dictator in the twentieth century has done!

This is what you get when 69,456,897 idiots voted for this disgrace in November of 2008!

I know what some people may be thinking, but the fact that people graduate from college means absolutely nothing in regards to their intelligence, or their knowledge of the real world. In fact, many people now come out of college more ignorant than when they went in. That’s the reason that Obama and the liberal elite put such a high emphasis on education. It’s not because they give a rat’s tukus about the students and their futures, it’s because they know that they’ll more likely than not have their minds filled with left-wing propaganda, and come out prepared to be good little soldiers in the war against capitalism and traditional American values.

During his address, Obama predictably praised higher education, but he also used the opportunity to try to convince the grads to stay away from “alternative media.” He went as far as to say that too much information can “become a distraction.”

This guy never stops campaigning, and he never stops attacking and bullying those who dare to disagree with him. Of course he doesn’t want people reading blogs, (except for the Daily Kos and the Huffington Post) listening to talk radio, (except for Air America – oh I forgot, the station went bankrupt – silly me!) or watching cable news. Obama wants young people to just trust the government and not ask any questions. Obama doesn’t want young people to have their own minds and opinions, and he doesn’t want them to exercise free-thought. He wants them to be loyal subjects of the Obama run U.S. Government.

Obama is now getting so desperate that he’s thrown away all pretenses of being objective and having the best interest of the American people in mind. He’s now at the point where he’ll just about show his true colors. The true colors that he showed over and over during his campaign, but that too many people (especially those pathetic so-called “independents”) chose to somehow ignore. His rage at his critics is becoming ever more noticeable. His Hugo Chavez-like tactics at silencing opposition are becoming more and more obvious. It isn’t a surprise to this blogger that Obama would like to control the flow of information. Historically, that’s how Marxists/Communists take power, and that’s especially how they then hold on to power!

I full know that I’m small potatoes in this incredible blogosphere, but the only way that this, or any other administration will stop me from expressing my thoughts and opinions is by removing the keyboard from my cold dead hands!

During the interview, Obama said the following when asked by Smith if he was aware of the level of enmity that crosses the airwaves:

“Well, I think that when you listen to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, it’s pretty apparent, and it’s troublesome, but keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out.”

Well, I’ve been reflecting on what our president said, and believe it or not, I kind of agree with him. There is too much anger and vitriol directed towards him; I’m as guilty as anyone in that regard. So… in light of the fact that it’s the night before Easter Sunday, I think it only proper to focus on peace and tolerance to offset all of the hate.

Let’s all listen to this uplifting sermon while reflecting on our sins and striving to tone down our critisism towards those we disagree with.

Remember this Radio appearance by “renown” (in other words liberal) presidential historian Michael Beschloss on the Imus Show shortly after Obama was elected?

This Beschloss buffoon shared the following observation with Don Imus with absolutely no criteria to base his dumb-ass assumptions on.

Beschloss: Yeah. Even aside from the fact of electing the first African American President and whatever one’s partisan views this is a guy whose IQ is off the charts — I mean you cannot say that he is anything but a very serious and capable leader and — you know — You and I have talked about this for years….

Let’s get something straight once and for all! Barack Obama is not particularly smart, he’s not particularly intelligent, and he’s definitely not a great speaker! He’s just your typical programmed left-wing ideologue. He’s so deep into it that he actually believes that he’s the smartest man in the history of the world. Growing up, he drank so much Kool Aid given to him by his Marxist mentors and college professors that he doesn’t even remember how to act or think like a real person.

The media has perpetrated this hoax about his intelligence because most of them come from the same background as he does. They attended Universities and Colleges and willingly swallowed the same progressive indoctrination as Obama did – hook, line & sinker. In his first year as president, Obama has made more gaffes than the idiot, George Bush, did in eight years. At least George Bush made fun of himself and his unusual way of putting words together. On the other hand, Obama takes himself so seriously that he actually believes all the media hype about himself. He refuses to, or is incapable of, admitting to himself that he was given an express pass to the White House because he’s a clean, articulate, light-skinned black man who doesn’t have a Negro dialect – when he doesn’t want to.

This proposed spending freeze  is simply laughable. It’s just slight of hand trickery designed to make people feel better about the out of control spending coming from Washington.

Let’s take a look at how this proposed freeze actually looks through the prism of reality.

Let’s say that you’re a family of four who spent $3000 on eating out in the year 2008 despite family finances that were shaky at best. The $3000 is already at least twice what you can realistically afford. Then the next year (2009) you lose your mind and  triple your eating-out spending to $9000 even though you’re in debt up to your eyeballs and are barely able to make your mortgage payment.

When you finally realize that you can’t afford this outrageous spending anymore, and that it’s helping to bankrupt your family, you put your foot down and declare that for the next three years starting in 2011 you’ll freeze your eating-out spending at $9000 per year.  Problem solved – right?

These proposed spending freezes that Obama will unveil tomorrow account for programs that add up to only 18% of the budget. Not to mention that the original baseline before Obama’s massive spending increases was already inflated due to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The wars that Obama promised to end when he became president.

Only in Washington DC could this “freeze” be seen as belt-tightening. Only a corrupt media would accept this farce at face value (which they certainly will). Only a politician who has total disrespect for the intelligence of the American people would have the chutzpah to propose this as a being fiscally responsible.

 Unfortunately, many Americans have earned that disrespect.
