There is no more a materialistic culture than current day Hip-Hop! While the overwhelming majority of this culture live in Section 8 housing and are near the very bottom of the economic ladder, the thirst they have for all things expensive would make even the Housewives of New York City blush.
That’s the problem with John Lennon’s Imagine. When you really listen to the lyrics it becomes a nightmare.
I may as well confess; I meet with my fellow Klansmen once a month in our downtown Brooklyn headquarters where we plan cross burnings and various other mayhem throughout the five boroughs of NYC. On the surface of it they seem to have very little in common. The left claims to be progressive, embraces gay bars, abortions, feminism, worker’s rights civil rights, multiculturalism and obscene slogans. The entire progressive income tax system is the antithesis of fairness. It is used by politicians to pay off special interests, control or modify people’s behavior, and to generally pit one group of people against the other.
Controlling our lives – make no mistake that this is exactly what our Marxist president and his like minded cronies are attempting to do. No longer can the left-wing establishment and the media feign indignation when we call these people what they are.
