I’ve been meaning to post my two cents on the whole Ted Williams fiasco. No, not the last major leaguer to hit .400 (.406) while playing for the Boston Red Sox in 1941; but Ted Williams the homeless drug addict, alcoholic, and thief who was instantly propelled into fame and possible fortune by a stupid YouTube video.
Who doesn’t want a better life?
We (United States) can’t take care of everyone, and we aren’t obligated to offer everyone around the world a “better life” at the expense of our own citizens, culture, and sovereignty.
