Obama’s former Illinois Senate seat going to a Republican! Alexi Giannoulias (D) went down in flames to Republican Mark Kirk. Giannoulias is part of the same Chicago gang of crooks that gave power to Barack Obama. Unfortunately for Giannoulias, Obama seems to have ruined the ability (at least temporarily) of corrupt Chicago politicians to get free rides into higher national office. Not to worry Alexi, you can always run for Mayor of Chicago. Oh… right, Rahm already beat you to that one. Oh well, there’s always room for another Greek Diner in downtown Chicago.
Notice how elitist progressives like Emanuel hop around from one political job to another. God forbid they should look for legitimate work in the private sector once in a while. A great example is New York’s own, Chuck Schumer, (lucky us!) who has never held a job in the private sector. Schumer ran for political office right out of law school – and won. He’s been nothing short of a demonic curse on the taxpayers of New York ever since.
I really don’t know what the Administration could have done to help stop this oil leak, but I truly believe that if Obama had a secret weapon that would plug the leak he wouldn’t use it until it politically suited him. To radicals like him, the ends always justify the means. If it takes a couple of billion gallons of oil in the Gulf of Mexico destroying millions of small business to finally put an end to oil drilling once and for all, so be it!
